For Discussion:
- Role of modern methods of preoperative prognostication of postresection hepatic insufficiency
- Portal embolization, portal vein branch ligation, ALPPS. When, for who and how?
ALPPS VS Open two-stage surgeries
- At what liver diseases are these technologies optimal for applying
- Safety: postoperative complications, mortality
- Growth rate
- Liver function/volume
- Efficiency, i.e. performing second-stage
- Remote Outcomes
- Where to do these surgeries?
- Significance of “Portal stroke” in development of postresection hepatic insufficiency. Is there a need to evaluate and correct?
